Our Tank connectors are designed for a simple, quick and safe connection to plastic, steel, aluminium storage tanks, silos, vessels and containers.
Our standard gasket/seal for the connectors is made from EPDM. EPDM is Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, a synthetic rubber used in a range of storage tank applications.
Alternatively, we can offer both FKM and NBR which is made to order for all our connectors ranging from 1/2" to 2".
(We also offer NBR for fuel and oil tanks and Viton for chemical and process tanks - made to order)
FKM is the ASTM designation for a class of fluorinated, carbon-based synthetic rubber, commonly known as fluoroelastomer. FKM has impressive heat resistance, allowing FKM seals to withstand temperatures greater than 200°C.
NBR also know as Nitrile rubber and Buna-N) is the industry's most widely used and economical elastomer. This is partly because it displays excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, water, alcohols, silicone greases, hydraulic fluids
